LIVE REPORTS

11.45pm -  After seven hours, the Suara Rakyat 505 rally came to a close with everyone singing Negaraku. Prior to that, emcee Badrul Hisham Shaharin says he needs 500,000 volunteers for an event he called "March to EC", hinting that there are far bigger rallies being planned.

11.20pm - In a show of humility, Anwar Ibrahim tells the crowd that he is sorry that Pakatan Rakyat was not able to form the federal government.

"So some of our plans can't be implemented because of that," he said.

NONE
Regardless, Anwar (left) says that Pakatan will never give up and that it was BN who should be accepting defeat.

He says that the White House had congratulated Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak with a condition: That the polls must be free and fair.

"That's why the EC must resign now! Now! Now!" he said.

He said that Monday is the last day for the public to lodge police reports on electoral fraud and urge them to do so, particularly over the fact that "indelible ink" was removable.

He added that there will be a few more Black 505 rallies left.

"Do we go on or stop here?" he asks, to which the crowd replied "Go on!".

He then promises that any mobilisation of the people will be done peacefully.

NONE
11.05pm - Emcee Badrul Hisham Shaharin has called for the Dataran PJ floodlamps to be switched off and for rally participants to whip out their phones and lighters to light up the venue.

The idea is to celebrate the release of Adam Adli, a student activist accused by the state of sedition. He is Penang now to visit his ailing mother.

"We will shine a path for democracy," he said, while estimating that the crowd size has now swelled to 70,000.

The crowd oblige and the wave their electronic devices. Looks like a swarm of fireflies.

NONE
10.45pm - Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar (left) says that the Election Commission must pay for their "crimes".

"You can never escape the clutches of the law," she said.

She said Pakatan had scored a moral victory on May 5 but the coalition and their supporters still have much to do.

"Tough times don't last. Tough people do," she said.

She adds that Pakatan will continue to mobilise the public to ensure that BN doesn't get its way when the electoral boundaries are re-drawn.

10.40pm - Haris Ibrahim urges the crowd to boycott media organisations that are lopsided or aligned to BN.

Following this, he announced that the Asalkan Bukan Umno group has prepared a video clip to show how BN had cheated during the general election.

"We want you to bring this video to the rural areas, to show how they were being cheated by BN," said Haris.

NONE
10.30pm - After sharing a cell in Jinjang, Tian Chua (left) and Haris Ibrahim share the stage together.

"Don't think that these arrests will scare the people. We will not be cowed.

"It is not us that are afraid. It is they, for they are holding to power without legitimacy," said Chua.

10.20pm - Bersih 2.0 co-chairperson Ambiga Sreenevasan says she was not scheduled to speak today but  the recent arrest of Adam Adli, Tian Chua, Haris Ibrahim and Tamrin Ghaffar had moved her to do so.

He urges those with evidence of electoral fraud to approach Bersih's people's tribunal.

"If the EC has any dignity left, they must resign now. (The failure of the) indelible ink is reason enough," she said.

10.15pm - In a strange move, Kuala Kerai MP Dr Hatta Ramli and Sungai Petani MP Johari Abdul decided to speak at the same time.

But it was Hatta who stole the show with his wisecracks.
He said that BN was no so worried about a certain word and have asked the Multimedia and Communication Commission (MCMC) to investigate politicians who mention it.

"What is the word? The word is musim bunga. I dare not utter the word in English.
"What I got my car fixed, I couldn't tell the foreman to change my suspension. I had to say 'Please help me to change my musim bunga'," he quipped.

NONE
9.45pm - Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli (left) says there would not be enough jails for the government to incarcerate all those who voice out against electoral fraud.

Rafizi, who chairs Pakatan's committee to probe electoral fraud, says that people have lost confidence in the EC because the have broken their vows.

"If the rakyat says there is fraud, isn't it their duty to investigate?" asks Rafizi. He says that Pakatan will be filing about 29 election petitions and strongly hinted that Bersih 4.0 might involve occupying Dataran Merdeka.

NONE
9.30pm - The Dataran PJ field has now reached saturation point. Emcee Badrul Hisham Shaharin (right) announces that there are 50,000 people in attendance.

9.25pm - Blues singer Ito, from the Blues Gang fame, belts out "Ubah Sekarang" to which the crowd responds by waving their hands in unison.

NONE

9.20pm - Kuantan MP Fuziah Salleh (left in photo) is speaking now and she said that the Election Commission chairperson Abdul Aziz Yusoff is living off public funds.

She says that his wages will not be "halal" if the EC continues to disregard public opinion.

9.10pm: Badrul Hisham Shaharin, aka Chegubard, takes over as the emcee and introduces DAP's Ronnie Liu onto the stage.
"We need to reform the electoral system. If not, we won't make it to Putrajaya.

"I believe it is time we launch Bersih 4.0!" he said, to the crowd's approval.

NONE9pm: As the rally continues, the crowd size had doubled to approximately 20,000.

8.15pm - The sky is threatening to open up on the crowd and is serving up a slight drizzle. Many people are sporting umbrellas.

7.30pm - Crowd size has grown to 10,000, which is much smaller than anticipated by the organisers.

7.15pm - Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM) chief Badrul Hisham Shaharin, better known as Chegubard, takes the stage and urge participants to call on their friends to join the rally.

"Tonight, we will be joined by the reformasi 'tank' - Tian Chua! Then there's another person, whom before we had a chance to invite him told us that he will join us - Haris Ibrahim!" announced Badrul Hisham.

NONE
Chua, Haris and Tamrin Abdul Ghaffar are being investigated for making seditious speeches during a forum on May 13. Another speaker at the forum, Adam Adli, has already been charged for sedition. All four are expected to speak tonight.

Badrul Hisham (left), who is believed to be wanted by the police for making "seditious speeches" alongside the abovementioned group, also announced that PKR strategist Rafizi Ramli will be presenting a slideshow later to show examples of electoral fraud.

Meanwhile, Badrul Hisham said the main objective of the rally is to campaign for reform in the electoral system.
After Badrul Shaharin spoke, there is a short break for mahgrib prayers.

NONE
6.45pm - Student activist KS Bawani (right), of the "Listen, listen, listen" fame, urges participants to "incite" their friends and relatives to join the rally.

“We had said before the general election that if the EC cheats, we will go down the street, this is the right of the people.

“We don't want to talk anymore. We've had enough. The people are not stupid, we don't want to wait for another five years.

“We don't have much time, we need to incite more people. Please tell your uncles and aunties to come to Amcorp Mall,” she says.

Malaysia’s 13th General Elections ~ By Anwar Ibrahim, Opposition Leader

More than 250,000 throng the streets  on 28 April 2012 to demand clean and fair elections (pic: Washington Post)

prime minister-in-waiting (pic: ABC)
As the 13th general elections draw near, the will of the people hangs in the balance as the question of free and fair elections remains unanswered.

The right to such a process is recognized in all democracies. Three conditions must be fulfilled: an independent audit of the electoral roll, a minimum campaign period of reasonable duration, and allowing international observers at polling stations.

Watch video here
The Najib administration’s action last week in detaining and deporting Australian senator Nick Xenophon who was in Kuala Lumpur to meet with me as well as leaders of the ruling party to discuss ways and means to meet those conditions has rendered the demand for free and fair elections an exercise in futility.

Meanwhile, the opposition coalition Pakatan Rakyat remains severely disadvantaged in campaigning. There is no access to the mainstream print and electronic media which, despite being largely funded by tax payers’ money, are used as a propaganda machine in ways not seen since the time of Goebbels: vicious lies are spread about the opposition’s mismanagement of the state governments, characters of key opposition leaders are assassinated and a movie is set to be screened nation-wide calculated undoubtedly to sow hostility and hatred among the indigenous Malay community towards ethnic minorities particularly the Chinese.

So we resort to self-help to travel the land and take the message home directly to the people. But where’s the right to security on our lives and property? Campaign buses and cars get pelted with stones and splashed with paint. Speakers are attacked and some supporters were knifed, violent acts caught on camera.

Nearly 1,000 rounds of tear gas were fired on what began as a peaceful rally but ended with
more than 500 arrests and numerous injuries (pic: New York Times)

To ensure free and fair elections, there must be protection of the law, but complaints to the police fall on deaf ears. The Home Affairs Minister tells the media that he can’t guarantee our safety. Yes, this is the same man who issued the ban order on Senator Xenophon and then proclaimed that this was a routine matter. Labeling a visiting law maker from a friendly country “a security threat” and “an enemy of the state” is a routine matter?

Meanwhile, the veracity of electoral rolls remains unresolved with hundreds of thousand phantom votes in the list. In an on-going inquiry on citizenship-for-votes it was revealed that for the State of Sabah alone, more than 40,000 registered voters were on the highly suspect list. Other independent checks in other states have likewise revealed similar major discrepancies.

This is fraud perpetrated on a grand scale with the Elections Commission itself being culpable. Helmed by people who were card carrying members of the ruling UMNO party, a fact that had remained secret until it was exposed by independent watchdogs, how can anyone expect it to remain fair and impartial?

Complaints about the presence of significant numbers of phantom voters are ignored. The commission chair and deputy then go town to bash the opposition for ‘selling out’ the country’s sovereignty by calling for international observers. Right wing groups brand it as an act of treason. Former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed has called for the co-chair of Bersih, our democracy reform Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections, to be stripped of her citizenship.

Indeed, the test of free and fair elections is not merely allowing international observers but welcoming them with open arms because they lend credibility to the process as well as the outcome. If our elections are free and fair, what’s there to hide?

In this regard, Nick Xenophon as well as other international would-be observers will no doubt be a threat but only to those who believe they are entitled to perpetual power. The fear of losing power haunts them making them desperate in action and in word. The left hand sometimes doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.

Najib Razak: unelected
Crime Minister of Malaysia
And no one shows this up better than the Prime Minister himself. On the one hand, he invites the international media to cover his economic transformation program and touts it as a decisive move towards democratic reform. He tops it up with visits overseas, Australia being one of the first on the itinerary. In Melbourne and in Sydney he spoke to local audiences about how genuine his government is in steering the country towards freedom and democracy. On the other hand, as the Xenophon debacle illustrates, his administration now decries ‘foreign interference in its internal affairs’ and declares that ‘outsiders must keep their hands off our electoral process.’

Well, Mr Prime Minister, you can’t have it both ways. First, you blew away millions of dollars of the tax payers’ money in traveling to other countries to promote your persona as an emerging reform-driven democratic leader. Then you tell law makers from those countries who are coming to verify the truth of what you have been saying that this is none of their business!

So, Nick Xenophon was indeed a ‘security’ risk but not to the Malaysian people. The only rationale for his expulsion is that he represents a serious threat to the UMNO government because of his advocacy for clean elections in Malaysia. But as I have said on day one of his arrest, Malaysia does not belong to UMNO. It belongs to all citizens regardless of their political affiliation.

Facile acts of reform done with much fanfare may help in the promotion of one’s persona. But it only takes one act of desperation to tear the veneer of hypocrisy and diabolical maneuvering. To repeal the Internal Security Act only to replace with another law which gives the police even wider powers of detention is a classic example. Expelling a law maker on a mission for electoral reform is yet another. However, come polling day, despite the cheating and the fraud, we believe the people will triumph.

Rallying for clean and fair elections: WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TO STOP US?

Listen up, Bersih Bashing Morons!
By Emmanuel Joseph

Listen up, morons.

250,000 us went down to KL to walk and we walked for a variety of reasons. WHY we walked is not as important is WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TO STOP US? We’re citizens, we’re taxpayers. Our tax dollars paid for the tear gas they shot at us, the water the sprayed us, the barbwire they put around Dataran Merdeka and the train services denied to us! WHO THE FUCK are you to stop me from wearing yellow, taking a train, joining a rally? It was rallies that got your asses into the comfy seats in which you now sit in, the keyboard you are typing to condemn us with, the monitor in which you sink your beady eyes and give us your self righteous comments with.

Listen up, morons.

We were not there to kill anyone, whack anyone, crash any car. Don’t judge the actions of 99.99% on the few who did; that too evidence is fast appearing that they may not be protestors after all! If you used your heads to think, we were already there for umpteen hours, for the third time - you think we would ‘lose it’ just like that? If we were to judge everyone by the actions of a few, every cop loves his baton too much, every MCA member sleeps with women on video, and every PERKASA member is short and has a limited vocabulary.

EC top two still in Umno, PKR wants duo to quit

By Shazwan Mustafa Kamal April 27, 2012

KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 — PKR today demanded the Election Commission (EC) chairman and deputy chairman resign from their posts, and has furnished evidence to show that the two are still Umno members.

Both EC chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof and his deputy Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar have admitted that they could have been Umno members a long time ago, but stressed that it did not affect their ability to carry out their professional duties.

They took great pains to point out that it (being Umno members) happened a long time ago, and that they were inactive members, having not paid any fees or attended any party meetings.

“Both of them have to resign their positions in the EC immediately.

MONKEY YEAR GIBBERINGS (REVISITED)

As the Lunar Year of the Wood Monkey begins, I feel compelled to reassess and summarize my perceptions and share them with whoever happens to be on my mailing list, especially if you happen to be descended from a genetically modified primate.

First the Bad News: it's probably too late for peaceful political change to happen anywhere on this planet, and we know violent change will never resolve anything. Those who still hold out for a last-minute miracle that might see a candidate like Dennis Kucinich elected as US president are to be commended for their stamina. Keep canvassing, I say, nothing is impossible! But frankly, it's not at all likely to happen, and here's why: first of all, Kucinich is supported mainly by a network of New Agers and lightworkers with a somewhat pollyannic view of dark-side politics. Most of us simply cannot believe the lengths some entities will go to just to hang on to power, privilege, and outright control of the planet's natural and human resources. We've heard accounts of gory gangland massacres and stool pigeons ending up at the bottom of the harbor with their feet encased in cement blocks. Well, folks, I hate to say this, but the unseen hands that manipulate human affairs are steeped in blood - and have been for aeons. Blood sacrifice is a very ancient darkside ritual to appease the chthonic forces of our collective unconscious. Bumping off a potential troublemaker or "sacrificing" a few million lives is just another day's work for some folks.

If it looks like Kucinich is making enough progress at the polls to threaten the status quo, you can bet your life the spectre of "Al Qaeda" will conveniently reappear, perhaps even more destructively - just in time for Bush to declare martial law and put Gen. Ralph Eberhardt (the man in charge of America's air defences on September 11, 2001) in control of a population paralyzed by panic. However, if any of the other candidates gets to be president, it will be mostly business-as-usual. Dubya already has a new eco-friendly house to retire to on his Texas ranch, yeehah!

9-11 was undoubtedly a top-flight professional job commissioned by those who have the most to gain from generating perpetual fear and greater division amongst the earth populations. If you still believe the official story that a buncha Allahu-Akbaring towelheads pulled it off (without covert logistical support from an inner circle of US military and spy agencies and the connivance of White House insiders), you definitely have a wet towel for a brain. Sadly, too many otherwise intelligent and discerning folks are persisting in their vigorous denial - I guess they would have bought a used car from Tricky Dick too.

Public hero Michael Moore has come out in support of General Wesley Clark's candidacy. I admit Clark is better looking and more charismatic than Kucinich (who's unfortunately a bit too runtish to win a popularity contest in America); indeed, Clark looks pretty impressive with his military uniform and distinguished Jason Robards/Julius Caesar greytop, but America is already way too militaristic - even without a trueblue military officer in the White House. As for the other presidential candidates - Dean, Kerry, Gephardt et al - they all appear to be corporate androids (yes, "dweebs" is a cute word) - which gives us almost no hope whatsoever in terms of getting a real human being elected to the US presidency in November 2004.

When so many Americans tacitly allowed the massive electoral fraud of 2000 to happen without a deafening outcry of foul-play, it was the death knell of fair elections - or at least the theoretical possibility thereof - perhaps the world over. Despite a few protests over the use of electronic vote-counting systems manufactured by pro-Bush/pro-Zionist corporations, no action seems to have been taken to revamp the creaky electoral machinery. In effect, the ethical rot has set in too deep for any genuine political reforms to be feasible.

Does this mean planet Earth and the human race are doomed? Have the Elders of Zion outsmarted and hoodwinked the gullible Goyim and sold us to Mammon and Moloch as debt slaves for all time? Is your daughter going to grow up and marry Agent Smith and blow your utopian dream to Smithereens?

It would certainly appear so... BUT...... heh heh!

Here's the Good News, folks: on the cosmic front, the interpenetration of Dimensions 3, 4 and 5 is sufficiently advanced for any one of us to wriggle free of inherited or acquired limitations. That's right! There has never been a greater opportunity for each of us to take that Quantum Jump beyond the 3D Frequency Fence and liberate ourselves from the holographic illusion of powerlessness. Our steady progression through the Photon Band and into a New Galactic Day fully supports an unprecedented Mass Awakening into Monadic Autonomy!

Since the Harmonic Concordance of November 8-9, 2003, I have felt a major cellular shift which has propelled me more or less out of linear time. No, I haven't attempted to walk through walls like Stuie Wilde (I just received 'God's Gladiators' as an e-book and glanced through a few pages - strong stuff!) - but maybe if I had a hit of ayahuasca, it could happen. One of the significant indications that I'm right on track is that there is even less stress in my daily life these days. Things are happening by magick, and without apparent effort on my part.

I read about the horrendous predictions of cataclysmic earth changes - the Yellowstone supervolcano erupting and unleashing unimaginable devastation on a planetary scale, California vanishing into the Pacific along with most coastal cities, earthquakes more ruinous than the one that destroyed Bam on Boxing Day last year - and the economic havoc that's long overdue as the dollar implodes - and I feel strangely calm. It's not numbness, nor is it apathy. Deep within, I know that none of this is real, none of it relevant to our Core Being as Sovereign, Self-Governing Entities.

I've recently received powerful confirmation from many sources - some too private or too weird to disclose at this juncture. Essentially, the message is that many of us have "graduated" from the University of Hydrocarbon-Protein Existence. We are well on our way to transmuting on an atomic level into fully activated, crystal-bodied Masters - not ascending, as most of us have been led to think, but DESCENDING FULLY INTO OUR PHYSICAL VEHICLES TO MANIFEST HEAVEN ON EARTH.

You could say the downloading of our Cosmic Christ potential is now complete - the software is installed and running smoothly!

My root chakra has never been more empowered - this means I am finally HOME IN THE EARTH-HEART. At the same time my crown and soul-star chakras are equally vibrant. This means I am on a broadband connection with the swiftly awakening Aeonic consciousness of the planet itself, with Gaia-Sophia, Mother Earth - or perhaps even with what many call Source or Great Spirit or Prime Creator.

I am more conscious now of the holographic nature of being, that as a Divine Fractal I carry the Total Blueprint of Life and therein lies my immortality: each of us awakening into this state is granted full access to all possible realities where our fractal selves already reside in kaleidoscopic multidimensionality. Even if a nuclear device landed on my head next week, my atoms can be reassembled in no time in a mirror universe or a mirror galaxy like Andromeda. That's the absolute miracle of consciously becoming a Divine Fractal - and it's available to each and every one of us. To experience it, all you need is to shoot for attunement/at-one-ment with your Macro Self and harmonization of your various chakras.

So forget about Bush, Cheney, Blair, Bin Laden, ExxonMobil, and the NWO Illuminati Banksters - they're only a clump of dead skin cells on the resurrected Corpus Christi! You can love them if you want and buy an economy-size jar of heavy-duty moisturizing cream to "redeem" them. I generally leave dead skin cells to drop off and reincarnate as household dust. Invest in a new broom or, if you can find one in your neighborhood, a solar-powered vacuum cleaner.

Eternal & Temporal Blessings, One & All :-)
