However, many if not all our current practices in the area of food production are driven by antiquated notions of profit and monopoly. Those archaic paradigms of power must be replaced with far less anthropocentric and far more cosmo-, eco- and geocentric perspectives. This simple shift in perception will inspire many simple solutions from the ground up, not from the top down as has been the case for centuries.
In the 1960s a community called Findhorn arose in Scotland that holds many lessons for humanity. It was an early demonstration of what miracles can happen when humans learn to cooperate instead of compete with nature.
