Last photo taken with my dad....

This was at my niece Candy's wedding in Singapore, April 2004. Six months later, on 14 October 2004, my dad breathed his last as the sun rose and he was getting sponged down by three nurses. Just one day before, his 11th great-grandchild, Hana, was born to my #1 daughter Moonlake and her husband Dr Ansgar Cheng.

My dearly beloved dad, Lee Hong Wah, was born 1 May 1916 and would have celebrated his 95th solar orbit today.

Last year I wrote a short, sweet tribute to him. If you missed it, go here.

  1. My late Dad started his orbit in 1919. Probably they would have sought each other out up there...and chuckling over the antics of their sons down here. Dang, I'll give a bottled malt to know what they are laughing about.

  3. @Zorro, yes, quite possible... but knowing my dad he'd probably be more interested in hanging out with your mama, hahaha... ;-)

@Arakah, oh thanks for the compliments... I'm tempted to say you should have met me when I was in my forties... but I realized you would have been an impressionable teenager then and therefore pose a tremendous hazard to me! In any case, isn't it amazing what can happen to us in 7 short years? :-)

@Pattycake, one of these days ah....

@Lita, I know you haven't commented yet, but in case you do pop by, give your mama a big hug from me! xox

  4. Thank you for sharing this, Antares. I still remember what you shared last year..

Memories may fade a bit but what remains in our hearts will be there forever.

May your dad rest in peace always.

  5. Antares,

The vibes finally reached Seri Sentosa from Magickriver. So here I am!

Will give my mama your hug, as instructed.

Suddenly, I'm thinking of the song "How sweet it is to be loved by you".
