Protesters threaten bloodshed over Hindu temple

SHAH ALAM, Aug 28 — A group of Malay-Muslim protesters claiming to be residents of Section 23 have threatened bloodshed unless the state government stopped the construction of a Hindu Temple.
Amid chants of "Allahuakbar," the group also left the severed head of a cow at the entrance of the State Secretariat here as a warning to Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.The "residents" said that the construction of a Hindu temple in a 90 per cent Malay- Muslim neighbourhood was insensitive because activities there would disrupt their lives.
They claimed that the "noise" from the temple would disturb their own praying, and that they would not be able to function properly as Muslims.

ReplyDeleteWhere were the police? Was this march approved by the local authorities? If it was, can we also say the local authorities then approved of the blatant affront to the Hindu community since the symbol of Hindus was spat and tramped upon?
ReplyDeleteA very sad day indeed. (The fear of many is that Malaysia might go the way of Afghanistan and Pakistan, where violence against non-Muslim communities often reaches such barbaric levels.)
I am shaking with anger for these bloody cow headed idiots! Malu, so so malu! Their azans and sermons from the masjid has been booming into church and temple compounds and people's houses since forever. So just because the non muslims make up the 10% of the population means they have no rights whatsoever is it? BLOODY BIGOTED HEAD STUCK IN THEIR OWN RELIGIOUS ARSES IDIOTS!

ReplyDeleteI guess these kind of Muslims should be really grateful that we non-muslims (hindus) are extremely tolerant to such abuse of our religion.
ReplyDeleteWe could be a**holes just like them, but we aren't. No matter what they do or say, we have always been very respectful to their religion. After all it wouldnt take much for us to release a truck full of pigs and dogs into section 23.
My greatest respect to the Hindus of section 23 for being so patient bout this matter.
What is likely the most offensive issue with regards to tossing a severed bovine head onto the front gate of your local government authority?
ReplyDelete1. Littering. There is a fine for this one unless the boys in blue are on a convienient tea break.
2. Temptation. In the Holy month of fasting and penance, these idiots dare run a pagan parade complete with blood and gore on a platter. Show some sense to your fellow Muslims please.
3. Right now is the period when the gates of Hell are open for the Hungry Ghost to feed and seek forgiveness. Tossing food on the street and treating it like a football with so many starving spirits is bound to raise some extra dimensional ire.
4. Waste of food. A head of that size is essentially 5-7kg of meat and bone. That's 1 day's eating for a family of five. All probably went to the dogs so it is not that big a waste. Unless they take offense to dogs.
To me, it's just true disrespect to the effort of growing that animal for food, having it slaughtered in Halal fashion, only to use its head as a political statement. Hypocracy of the highest order.
