"Every Malaysian enjoys equal rights" ~ Raja of Perlis

From Malaysia Today

EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL MALAYSIANS, SAYS PERLIS RULER

Friday, 6 March 2009

(New Straits Times) - The Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Syed Jamalullail, yesterday took to task those propounding the "ketuanan Melayu" (Malay supremacy) policy, accusing them of using "narrow-minded ways to achieve personal objectives".

He said every Malaysian, irrespective of age, gender, social status or religion, enjoyed equal rights.

The ruler said some Malaysians were making a big issue of the "ketuanan Melayu" issue and asking that supremacy or rights be given only to a particular race.

"It is very unfortunate to see these self-interested parties raising sensitive issues which could dampen the spirits and hopes of millions of people. In Malaysia, every race is tuan," he said in his speech at the launching of a seminar on the Federal Constitution here. The seminar was jointly organised by the state government and the Biro Tatanegara.

The Raja of Perlis reminded everyone that no individual should be deprived of his rights and that sensitive issues should not be raised in a multi-racial country like Malaysia. "Sensitive issues and disharmony in society will only bring harm to the country," he added.

He said after 51 years, there was an understanding between the royal houses, leaders of all races and political parties in the country on the multi-racial character of the nation.

"This understanding is referred to as a social contract. It is to ensure that every race lives in harmony. The rights of every individual and race cannot not be taken away and at the same time Islam will remain the official religion of the country."

The Raja of Perlis said the role of the Malay royalty should be upheld as they had played the most significant role in defending the rights of the people. He said it was the responsibility of the royalty to ensure that everyone lived in harmony.

"Today, many individuals redefine the social contract in the Federal Constitution in their own narrow-minded way for personal objectives.

"I believe that if everyone understands that every individual of any race, should not be deprived of their rights, then the efforts of certain parties who think that the supremacy or rights should only be given to a particular race can be stopped," he said.

The ruler hoped that the contents of the Federal Constitution will be clearly understood by all, including the leaders of political parties.

  1. Dear Antares,

EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL MALAYSIANS, SAYS PERLIS RULER...

Finally, Our Honourable ex Agong “Hears & Feels” the Call, the Pain & the Despair of the downtrodden rayaat.

Malaysia badly needs "Role Model" established Leaders & Politicians of HONOUR with Calibre, Maturity & Tolerance without Fear or Favour & NOT Political OPPORTUNISTS – on BOTH sides of the Political Divide.

This nation Desperately needs Intelligent, Time Proven Pragmatic Successful modelled, Financial & Politiical "SOLUTIONS" NOW on BOTH sides of the Political Divide, to MITIGATE the IMPENDING Political & Financial fallout.

The 8th March 2008 elections offered us an "Alternative to the UMNO/BN Autocratic Government.

In 2009, We are ALL Anak Bangsa Malaysia led by our "RPK, Haris & all the Defenders of Truth" to restore "Justice, Equality, Human Rights & Freedom" with our struggles to achieve our 2nd Independence....

Not from the British Administration, BUT from our own Autocratic Ketuanan UMNO Baru, MCA & MIC) regime.

This great nation, its assets & its Anak Bangsa Malaysia have been abused for the last 40 years by these "Moronic Idiots & their Goons" through "Gutter Politics" & the "Law of the Jungle".

Let us all SHIFT our “Ketuanan/Racial/Religious, Opportunist/Personal/Selfish, Etc Paradigm” and start thinking about “OUR GREAT NATION MALAYSIA for ANAK BANGSA MALAYSIA” as with the original “VALUES” of our Bapa Merdeka Tunku together together with his 1st cabinet of TRUE Malaysian TUANS adopted - From TOP to BOTTOM.

Let us ALL Pray to God Almighty in our own way & faith for “SANITY, Human Rights, Justice, Equality, Freedom & Peace to “Prevail” over “EVIL”

  3. Anonymous @ 3:42PM - You hide behind a mask to conceal your own mediocrity, like one of those idiots who continue to blame Anwar for failing to take over on 916. What have you contributed to evolution?

You want action? I suggest you disguise yourself as Kenneth Eswaran and kidnap Rosmah Mansor. Then inject her with sodium pentathol & video her confessing all her sins. For sure you'll become an even bigger hero than Anwar or RPK!

  4. Doesn't anyone find it ironic that a man who was born with a silver spoon and whose entire lineage will always be born with a silver spoon, is saying that everyone is equal?

  6. Our Honourable ex Agong & now Perlis Sultan “Hears & Feels” the Call, the Pain & the Despair of the downtrodden rayaat.

To voice his pledge after having taken the oath as our ex Agong & now as Perlis State Sultan without Fear or Favour....to excercise his responsibility to his rayaat & this nation....

He Fears no Man except God Almighty only !

His call to this nation, its Political Leaders, its Government, its Institutions, & his rayaat...

To ensure Truth, Justice, Equality, & Freedom prevails.

In this Bolehland some Leader & Politician have "political goodies" of "Closet skeletons?"....

    - to "Squeeze each others Orbs/Jugulars, any which way for Position, Power & $$$"

    - like the Perak Assembly Jaguh Kampung Charade ala Kindergarten style by Mr Wannabe...

    - Also the new MACC Institution, its new Chairman, inspite of his Paedophile copilot son caught & charged in Adelaide....at this nation's expense ....

    - To only LOOK in ONE direction...or else...?

Therefore unlike some of the others, this ex Agong & now Perlis Sultan has Honourably & courageously spoken for his people & this nation without Fear or Favour!

  8. Wizsurf - How do I feel about monarchy, anarchy & oligarchy? Please read this old blogpost, thanks.

There's a huge difference between a monarch such as King John (the one who was compelled to sign the Magna Carta) & King Arthur (the Once & Future King). Bear in mind, too, that Yeshua was the rightful heir to the throne of Palestine. If he had succeeded in being crowned, he might well have gone on to be hailed as the King of Kings. In this respect, there are TRUE kings,
celebrated in mythology as Aragorn of Arathorn or Odysseus... and there are false kings, usurper kings, put on the throne as puppets of British tin-mining interests (like the present Perak royal house).

  10. Oh dear! Like what the previous commentator said, this is not exactly what the Raja said or meant....

  11. Well, if the Raja of Perlis didn't say what he was quoted as saying in the NST, what the fuck exactly DID he say? In any case, if he doesn't have the balls to stick by what he originally was quoted as saying, then I guess these spawn of lesser gods have had their day & deserve to be put out to pasture. Let this be the last generation of Anunnaki-descended costumed monarchs on this long-ravaged planet. I keep giving these specimens a chance to earn their keep - and all they ever do is keep disappointing me.

WELL. FOLKS... THIS IS IT! DON'T PUT YOUR MONEY ON "THE ROYALS" EVER REGAINING THEIR INTEGRITY OR NOBILITY, GUESS THEY'RE TOO FAR GONE. WE THE PEOPLE ARE GOING TO WIN THIS WAR AGAINST GREED & ARROGANCE WITHOUT ANY OUTSIDE HELP - AND NOBODY'S GOING TO STOP US.

  12. Antares, you are really pissed off big time.I have never and never ever will put any money on them.Yes ,we the people will show this government come ge 13 who the real boss is,provided we all don't go missing.

In any case you have reput it right that the present batch of turncoat despicable tainted (mis)royal bloods should be pastured , make it soon by golly!

And not a moment too late

  15. All men are equal - perhaps only in death. Death is the greatest equaliser of all times and all civilisations.

    All are born unequal.

All are only potentially equal. Everywhere we see some are more equal.

We have nothing to lose but the chain of illusion - that all are 'equal'. We need to ask what is this thing called 'equal'.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Gadfly - On the SOUL level we are all equal; physically & mentally we are all different (some are strong, some weak, some large & some tiny). Kings & priests have long conspired to hold the peasant populace in thrall through pompous pageantry & hypnotic ritual. Why be afraid of giant cardboard cut-outs?

  17. Dear Antares,

So it looks like we all got fcuking "Suckered" not by the Perlis Sultan but by them UMNO/BN Goons.

Yes, UMNO/BN always revert to their "Tried & Tested Gutter Politics"....

    - "Squeezing everyone by the "Orbs"(with the help of MACC Chief with all his collection of "Goodies" on everyone from A to Z in his younger days in ACA???)

    - Desperate People, at Desperate Times, will RESORT to Desperate Henious Actions even if it means “Destroying” their “Honourable Family Legacy”, All our Pillars of Democracy, Justice, our MONARCHY, ALL our Nation’s Institutions, their own “MALAY MUSLIM HADHARI” party “UMNO”, their Own Kind, this country & its Many People!

    - Just how can you run this nation “Safely” (like any Decent Honourable father would do for his family) when you have so many Closet Skeletons to face at the coming UMNO Assembly Elections on 28th Mar, Nomination for the 3 bye-elections on 29th Mar, then the Elections on 7th April, etc, etc....

    - Didn’t you notice why Pak Lah finally “agreed” to step down on 31st Mar….

    - That was planned & hatched by KJ & his 4th Floor schemers….

    - For the Takeover on April Fool’s Day….yes, it was a Joke the Desperate Wannabe did not even notice!

    - Our Constitution’s clause on the position of PM vs Party President…silent on DPM ’s position, etc, etc

    - Why now PM is meeting & having lunch with DSAI?

    - You go figure out guys…

    - Looks like the Wannabe & Fat Mama will have to revert to “Praying” for & trying to provoke their “Last Trump Card” as prescribed & guaranteed to work, by his late father in 1969….

    May God help us all.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Antares - I appreciate if you could elaborate more on what do you mean by 'at the SOUL level we are all equal.'

Let's say someone is suffering from brain disorders like alzheimer or other dementia that he/she is unable to recall even their name, do they still have a soul? No self, no soul? And hence no equality?

And someone with unsound mind also?

What is this thing called SOUL? Does SOUL matter?

  19. Gadfly - Imagine each of us is actually a SUNBEAM, refracting into a multiplicity of hues as we journey through the prismatic density of physical embodiment. Very simply put, let's say that before incarnating as an individual life, we were really the stellar being called SOL. Each 'U' & every 'I' is an effect of differentiation & individuation - so that SOL becomes SOUL as it enters into physicality... and the physical form ultimately becomes SOIL when the SOLAR/SOULULAR FORCE departs. In effect, SOL as SOUL represents a stellar consciousness projecting itself into a specific experiential spiral. All emanations of SOL are equal... until they become sheathed in the complexity of neural circuitry, chromosomes, horoscopic imprints, and so on. That's when apparent differences emerge. For example, my Temuan wife Anoora & I are by no means "equal" in terms of literacy, exposure to ideas & social personality - yet as SOULS emanating from a stellar source, she is every bit as luminous & numinous as I am & is equal to me in abSOLute terms. Does this make sense to you?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Antares - You ask whether it 'makes sense to me'. This is a difficult question as it cannot be answered in a simple yes and no. Before I get into the complexities of concepts, I would say I subscribe to the view that the human race is like a rainbow, each has his/her place in the cosmos. The hegemony of one race, religion, class or gender is absurd and fictitious. Just because we are at one end or the other end of the light spectrum does not make us less human. If this is what you mean by "all emanations of SOL are equal', then we have a close and not parallel encounter.

When you use the word'sense', I am not sure which 'sense'you are referring to as I do not know the context and the source of your belief system. I wonder it has something to do with Gurdjieff, Rudolf Steiner or Carl Jung or theosophy or antroposophy etc.

In our deeply racialised and polarised society which make vast multitude of people unimportant and insignificant, the rainbow or SOL concept are helpful and meaningful. But, does it go far enough, like what Steinder Schools or even Krishnamurti Schools do? Or it is just the ideals of eccentrics.

I do not reject the idea that there are many a possible world as seen by people who use the well-developed supersensible senses, though some are more probable than the other. No matter what, it has to make 'human' sense as the idea of incarnation is meant to give hope to the pain of being human. We die and we are forgotten along with the cosmic injustice. It gives meaning to the meaninglessness of human injustice and cruelty.

You seem to see SOL as the locus of all things, if I am not mistaken. But, I defer in this as it makes the 'spiritual' element more important, if not the most important. I prefer to de-construct the locus of spirit or matter or both. Without the human body or human flesh, spirit is nothing. In a sense, the human body shapes and structures the spirit.

Rightly or wrongly, I believe in the luminousity of the human mind. The mind shines, if given the right conditions. But, the main stream society is so stuck in old ways. That it does not make sense.
